Express Entry draw October 12
Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has released the results of Express Entry draw October 12. In the draw, IRCC issued Canadian permanent resident (PR) invitations to 4,250 candidates.
Canada uses the Express Entry immigration pool draws system to manage permanent residence (PR) applications. It is the most popular way to immigrate to Canada.
Applicants who received invitations in Express Entry draw October 12 draw scored a minimum of 500 CRS score. The successful candidates have 60 days to apply for Canadian permanent residence.
IRCC holds Express Entry pool draws approximately every two weeks. In each draw, IRCC invites candidates who score the cut-off minimum in IRCC’s Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to apply for PR.
A candidate’s CRS score is based on factors such as age, education, skilled work experience and proficiency in English or French.
Perfect time to immigrate to Canada
Canada continues to push for more immigration to help fill over one million job vacancies.
Canada targets welcoming 55,900 immigrants through Express Entry in 2022. The target skyrockets to 111,500 in 2024.
Immigration Minister Sean Fraser recently announced that by the end of 2022 Canada will break its current record of 405,330 new immigrants in a year. This year Canada already welcomed over 300,000 new permanent residents by end of June.
So far this year Canada has welcomed 40,785 immigrants through Express Entry. It is highly likely that IRCC will push harder to exceed the 2022 Immigration Levels Plan target of 432,000.
To enter the Express Entry pool, candidates must first create an Express Entry profile on IRCC website.
If IRCC approves your PR application and you complete the landing process, you become a Canadian permanent resident.

How to boost your Express Entry CRS score
Note that only a limited number of candidates with the highest CRS score in the pool get Invitations to Apply (ITAs).
Also, average CRS score was 472 before Express Entry all-programs draws were suspended in December 2020 due to the pandemic.
Therefore, to get to these higher scores candidates need to maximize their points on all available factors.
