Canada Immigration Issues 3,900 ITAs in Fourth Consecutive Express Entry Draw
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to 3,900 candidates for the fourth consecutive Express Entry draw, and the fifth in 2018. This brings the total ITAs issued in 2018 to 78,100. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score increased by seven points to 449.
So far in 2018 the highest number of candidates invited in a single draw is 3,900.
The latest draw made on November 15, 2018, was the 24th round of invitations under Express Entry in 2018 and 104th overall. IRCC has a high-skilled immigration intake target of 74,900 for 2018.
The latest draw continued the trend in which the lowest CRS score has been well below 500.
IRCC is introducing some changes. Thus where the number of candidates with the lowest score surpasses the number of invitations permitted, IRCC will give priority to the profiles that have been in the Express Entry pool the longest. Consequently, if more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
